Welcome to Space Night Capsule Hostel
Space Night Capsule Hostel, nestled in the heart of Berlin at Leipziger Str. 45, offers travelers an affordable and cleverly designed accommodation experience. With a solid rating of 4.1, this hostel stands out for its unique capsule pods that provide more privacy than traditional dormitories while maintaining the social atmosphere typical of a hostel.
Guests frequently praise the prime location, which allows easy access to Berlin's iconic landmarks such as the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, and the Berlin Wall memorial. The proximity to multiple public transport options further simplifies city exploration, making it an ideal base for solo travelers and tourists eager to immerse themselves in Berlin’s vibrant culture.
The capsules themselves are compact yet clean and well-ventilated, equipped with essential amenities including lockers and towel service. While the mattress comfort may not satisfy taller guests or those seeking luxury, the design prioritizes practicality and a modern aesthetic, ensuring a balance between privacy and community.
Bathrooms receive consistent commendation for their cleanliness and private, all-in-one shower and toilet stalls, an uncommon convenience in hostels. Reception staff are noted for their friendliness and helpfulness, fostering a welcoming atmosphere throughout the stay.
Noise can occasionally seep through the capsules due to the close quarters, so light sleepers may want to bring earplugs. However, this minor inconvenience hardly detracts from the overall appeal, especially given the hostel’s competitive pricing and excellent amenities such as free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and accessible facilities.
While it may not offer luxuries like pools or fitness centers, Space Night Capsule Hostel excels in providing a smart, budget-friendly option that merges comfort, design, and location. It is particularly recommended for travelers seeking a unique, immersive Berlin experience without breaking the bank.

If you are in Berlin for a few days and want to stay in the middle of the city, then this could be your solution. Doesn't cost an arm and a leg which is plus and offer a little privacy in comparison to other hostels. The things I didn't like is that the mattress is a little on the thin side and the space light is a little annoying. If you are taller than 6', space might be a issue (no pun intended) Bring flip flops to use the shared bathroom if you are bothered about hygiene. Its not dirty but just saying. If you like, I made a video about this on my YT channel: Carl checked out.
Great location, you can walk to all the main sights from here. The pods are clean, comfortable, and ventilated, and the price is very reasonable for what you get. Only downside is that it can get a bit noisy at night since you can hear other guests, so earplugs are a must. Overall, a great and convenient place to stay if you’re looking for an affordable and unique experience.
Decent place to stay if solo traveling for 1-2 days. Bathrooms are great, super clean and private. The reception staff were very friendly and explained everything well. The capsules themselves were small but can fit a person in well with maybe a bag in as well. You are also provided a locker for other bags. Large suitcase are kept in a separate room with cctv, although would recommend locking bags too. Only downside to the room was that it was a little stuffy, I recommend bringing a small fan with you and charge it in the usb ports provided.
Definitely one of the cheapest options in Berlin, and dare say one of the coolest designs ive ever seen. For the price we were fairly satisfied. The capsules were clean, they provide towels, and the staff is polite. One thing to note: the ventilation wasn’t working properly, so it got a little hot inside. You can hear other people if they’re a bit noisy, but that’s not really the hotel’s fault. The staircase leading up is a bit dirty and at first it was unpleasant, but the location is great there’s a bus stop right across the street and a Lidl and other stores nearby if you need anything. Other than that, I slept well and had a pleasant time in Berlin.
It's ok. I was there 5 nights. It was the least expensive capsule hostel in central Berlin that I found. I slept well. The locker was nice and the bathrooms were clean. Every stall in the bathroom has a toilet sink and shower. I found that to be convenient and the shower worked well. They had a stack of clean towels in the lobby so you could exchange your towel anytime you wanted. I just wanted a place to sleep, so the space theme with blue lights and graphics was lost on me. The capsules were plastic and the most awkward capsules I've stayed at. As other people have said, they aren't very good at reducing noise. They had an electric tea kettle and fridge in the luggage room of all places. There was a minimal common area with a couple of vending machines, but the Lidl and park next door offered cheap food and a much nicer place to eat it. The thin unsupportive mattress deformed over time. To the hostel's credit, I saw them swapping out mattresses when a capsule was unoccupied
I really like this place. The atmosphere is cool, the bathrooms and showers are clean and well maintained, and the location is excellent. It may not be the cheapest hostel, but I genuinely enjoyed staying here and think it’s worth it.
Spent 2 nights here and really not much to complain about. Pros- location is perfect, all the main sights within a 30 minute walk, and plenty of public transport nearby. Underground really easy to use, just use a journey planner online. The beds get a 3/5 for comfort, nothing amazing but also not waking up with back ache. The design is cool, just bring an eye mask as the lights e surrounding the control panel buttons will keep a light sleeper up. Bathroom facilities were good and clean. Obviously if you use it right after someone who's made a mess, it won't be as clean, but they were far from disgusting as some reviews say, maybe some water on the floor after someone's showered. Cafe right below and kebab place. Cons- located in a funny building with a broken escalator, but on a main road (can't hear noise from cars however). I lost my card, and had to pay 10 euros (cash only for card replacement), which I guess I only have myself to blame for loosing it. The pods themselves are the main issue. Not sound proof in any way shape or form. Made from flimsy plastic that if you gave it a bit of a kick, it would take the walls off. The doors lock but again, are flimsy and are not sealed shut. Definitely bring ear plugs as if you have a snoring neighbour you will no doubt hear it. There are charging cables (all 3 types) in the pods, which work, but only really 1 device at a time, where it still takes time to charge . There is a proper plug on the outside of each pod. Overall, a pleasant stay
I stayed for one night and had a blast . The personal is really friendly! The capsules are clean and I loved the one toile + shower system. Hey Guido ganz liebe Grüße an dich!
